Artist Statement

Inspiration for my art work comes from many sources:
Friends, family, nature, other art, found objects, poetry, even daydreams. I never know what or who will present an idea. My effort to interpret the inspiration is always an exciting and challenging journey.
The images and forms presented by my art work are amalgamations of many different materials and media. The colors, textures and shapes may seem at once both familiar and unknown. My intention is to create works of art that invite the viewer to see and participate in a different world, to travel to a new and joyful space.
